The market demand for open source technologies and solutions is increasing at a high speed. Pedab is pleased to announce that we are now Authorized Distributor for SUSE in the Nordic and Baltic markets. The extended agreement with SUSE will bring tremendous value to Pedab´s Partner Ecosystem.
Pedab and SUSE have been working together in Sweden since 2014. Now, Pedab and SUSE are extending the partnership to cover the Nordic and Baltic markets, as well as being able to offer service providers SUSE solutions through a consumption-based business model (CSP-program). The extended partnership follows SUSE´s move to the next stage of its corporate evolution, cementing its position as the world’s largest independent open source software company.
The new agreement means that Pedab´s entire ecosystem of resellers, system integrators and service providers will get access to SUSE´s solutions in the open source domain while also taking part in SUSE´s expansion and growth journey.
“We see an increasing demand in the market for open source-based solutions and the expanded agreement with SUSE will bring tremendous value to our Nordic and Baltic Partner Ecosystem,” says Peter Jansson, Head of Strategic Ecosystems and Partners at Pedab Group. “SUSE´s solutions will play a central role in the customers’ digital transformation and cloud migration initiatives.”
“The new extended agreement with Pedab is bringing great value in continuing to grow the SUSE business in the Nordic and Baltic regions,”, says Julie Baldwin, SUSE’s Head of Cloud EMEA & APJ. “The combined power of Pedab with their vast domain knowledge regarding SUSE´s market-leading solutions and SUSE’s strengths as the world’s largest independent open source software company is an excellent fit. The partnership offers strong support for our business and to meet the needs of our joint customers and partners.”
Using SUSE´s Enterprise Open Source platform, partners and customers can improve their IT infrastructure with better performance and flexibility, and at the same time lower cost. SUSE’s container and cloud platforms, software-defined infrastructure and artificial intelligence and edge computing solutions allow customers to create, deploy, and manage workloads anywhere – on-premise, hybrid and multi-cloud.
The Cloud Service Provider program also opens possibilities for CSP-partners to develop their own services based on SUSE products in combination with other software and hardware, providing them to their customers through a flexible contractual model.
